Srinagar, Dec 7: With the reports of an unusual rush at petrol pumps in Srinagar emerging on Sunday evening, the oil tanker association union  addressed the situation, asserting that there is no strike called by the drivers.
S. Harasis Singh, spokesperson for the oil tankers association, conveyed through a video statement, emphasizing that circulating strike messages on WhatsApp are baseless and no such call has been made by their association or any transport unions and no such call has been made by their association or any transport unions.
A senior government official expressed concern over the unnecessary panic among the public. He told Rising Kashmir that similar instances occurred recently, despite reassurances from the Divisional administration regarding the sufficient availability of fuel and essential commodities.
The official underscored that there is no cause for alarm, as the administration is actively monitoring the situation. Regular reviews are being conducted to ensure an adequate supply of essential goods, and citizens are urged not to worry.
The official said, “Gone are the days when people were facing problems.”
” We will not let people suffer,” he said, reiterating the commitment to addressing concerns and maintaining the steady provision of essential services.
