Srinagar, Nov 24: The Northern Railways has elevated the aesthetic appeal of Baramulla railway station by installing a grand 100 feet tall national flag, marking the third such installation in Kashmir.
This initiative is part of a directive from the Railway Board aimed at enhancing the visual appeal of railway stations while instilling a profound sense of nationalism and patriotism among Indian Railways passengers.
Saqib Yousuf Yatoo (IRTS), Chief Area Manager (CAM) Kashmir, shared with Rising Kashmir that the monumental flag was successfully erected at Baramulla railway station on Thursday. Similar installations have already graced Srinagar, Anantnag, and Baramulla.
The fourth flag is slated for installation at Banihal railway station, continuing the endeavor to imbue railway stations with a symbol of national pride, he said.
