Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi on Saturday visited the site of the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district in which five Indian soldiers lost their lives.
According to an Indian Army, During the visit, he reviewed the operational situation after the attack and was briefed on the actions undertaken so far and exhorted troops to be steadfast in their resolve.
An Army vehicle moving between Bhimber Gali and Poonch in the Rajouri sector was fired upon by unidentified terrorists on Thursday, the Army had earlier said. The vehicle caught fire, due to the likely use of grenades by terrorists, the army statement added.
