Non-violence approach of Mahatma Gandhi teaches us lesson of humanity: AAP

Jammu, Oct 02: In order to pay tributes to the father of nation, Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary AamAadmi Party’s Jammu and Kashmir unit Sunday organised a program in Jammu, which was headed by party’s senior leader and Jammu province incharge of Women Wing, Namrata Sharma alongwith senior leader Deep Singh.
A large number of party volunteers and leaders took part in this programme during which floral tributes were paid to Mahatma Gandhi and he was remembered for his role during freedom struggle and nation building.
Addressing the event, AAP women wing incharge of Jammu province, Namrata Sharma said that motive of organising such events is not only to pay tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary but is to refresh his teachings of non-violence in mind and to inculcate a spirit of oneness, unity, patriotism.
“Mahatma Gandhi was the main force during freedom struggle of country who with the message of non-violence gave Indians a spirit of fight against caged atmosphere and to fight for freedom,” Namrata Sharma said.
She added, “Need of the hour is not only to remember Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary or any other day but to inculcate his message of peace, non-violence and unity in our mind and to follow his teachings.”
AAP leader Namrata Sharma further said that events to remember Mahatma Gandhi have also been organised at district levels by party workers.
AamAadmi Party’s senior leader Deep Singh also addressed the event and said that the AamAadmi Party also remains in front to remember national heroes who struggled and sacrificed their lives for the nation.
“We assembled here today to remember our Father of Nation and we always remember and pay tributes to our national heroes,” Deep Singh said.
He further mentioned about a blood donation camp organised by AamAadmi Party in memory of Shaheed e AzamBhagat Singh two days ago during which party volunteers donated blood for human causes. Pays rich tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and LalBahadurShastri on their birth anniversaries
