Srinagar, Nov 13: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday attached a two-storey residential house in Srinagar’s Zaldagar area in connection with the February killings of two non-locals. The property is linked to Adil Manzoor Langoo, the owner, and the NIA conducted the official attachment along with the J&K Police.
As per the order under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UA(P) Act) 1967, the house belonging to Langoo has been officially attached. The NIA case, registered as RC-01/2024/NIA/JMU on June 15, 2024, pertains to the terrorist attack in which two non-locals from Amritsar, Punjab—Amritpal Singh (31) and Rohit Masih (27)—were killed. Singh died at the scene, while Masih succumbed to injuries at the SMHS hospital after being shot in Srinagar’s Shalakadal area.
The NIA’s memorandum of attachment, issued on November 13, 2024, directs that the property cannot be dealt with without prior permission from the case’s Chief Investigating Officer (CIO) or the Designated Authority.
