The Meteorological Department has forecasted no significant weather activity until the evening of February 26th. However, there is a likelihood of light to moderate rain and snow in scattered to fairly widespread areas on the 27th-28th Feb, isolated areas on the 29th Feb, and scattered to fairly widespread areas again on the 1st-3rd March.
As per the detailed forecast, there will be no significant weather activity till 26th Feb evening. 27th-28th Feb: Possibility of Light to moderate Rain/Snow scattered to Fairly widespread places.
On 29th Feb: Possibility of Light Rain/Snow at isolated places. Similarly from 1st-3rd March: Possibility of Light to moderate Rain/Snow at scattered to fairly widespread places.
As per the advisory, in view of heavy to very heavy snowfall over few middle & Higher reaches. “Travellers/Tourists are advised to follow admin/Traffic police advisory. The general public over hilly areas is advised not to venture into Avalanche-prone areas & slopy areas. (Follow avalanche warnings & advisories). Chances of Landslides/Mudslides and shooting stones at few places,” it said.
