Srinagar, Mar 02: Dismissing BJP’s formation of a shadow cabinet, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah On Saturday said that there is only one legitimate cabinet.
“There is no need for a shadow cabinet. The government of the people will run, and we are committed to fulfill their expectations,” he said while speaking to reporters after visiting Hyderpora to offer condolences to the Hasnain Masoodi and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
On being asked about the party meeting in Jammu, Omar said that it is a routine discussion before the Assembly session. “The Governor’s address is on March 3, the budget will be presented on March 7, and several important issues will be raised in the House,” he added.
Speaking on the preparation for the month of Ramadan Omar said that the government is committed to provide all necessary facilities to the people.
Omar Abdullah has assured the public of uninterrupted services throughout Ramadan. He stated that officials have been instructed to ensure a continuous power supply, particularly during pre-dawn and evening prayers, along with a smooth distribution of water, rations, sanitation, and effective traffic management. “We have carefully reviewed every detail, and there should be no shortcomings,” he affirmed.
