Srinagar, Aug 12: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, announced today that there will be no restrictions on public movement during the upcoming Independence Day celebrations. Moreover, he assured uninterrupted internet services to ensure the smooth conduct of the festivities.
Speaking at a press conference held in Srinagar, Bidhuri affirmed that all necessary arrangements have been meticulously put in place to facilitate the seamless execution of the 77th Independence Day celebrations. He also disclosed a change in the location of the main event, shifting it from SK Stadium to Bakshi Stadium due to space limitations. Anticipating a substantial turnout this year, he highlighted the administration’s commitment to ensuring a memorable celebration.
Bidhuri extended a cordial invitation to the public to participate in the Tiranga rally scheduled for tomorrow, which is set to commence at 6 am from the Botanical Garden. Emphasizing inclusivity, he underlined that the central event on August 15th would be open to everyone, without the requirement of passes for entry.
Reassuring citizens of the region, the Divisional Commissioner affirmed that comprehensive security and precautionary measures have been meticulously implemented to guarantee the secure and smooth conduct of the Independence Day celebrations throughout the Kashmir region.
