Srinagar, May 14: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed all existing NMC-approved medical colleges to submit their Annual Disclosure Reports for the annual renewal of MBBS seats for the academic session 2026–27.
According to a communication marked as “Most Urgent,” all existing NMC-approved medical colleges having a valid Letter of Permission (LoP) to conduct the MBBS course have been asked to submit the Annual Disclosure Report on the NMC portal, as required under Regulation 4 of the Maintenance of Standards of Medical Education Regulations, 2023 (MSMER-2023).
The NMC stated that submission of the report is mandatory for processing applications for annual renewal of MBBS seats for the academic year 2026–27.
The communication further said that colleges which have not registered their AEBAS with the NMC will not be able to access the portal. The username and password for each medical college have already been shared with the respective nodal officers.
“Additionally, a detailed user manual is available on the portal to provide step-by-step guidance for users. Hence, it is advised that the user manual provided on the NMC portal must be read thoroughly for clear guidance,” the Commission said.
The NMC also directed that all information submitted by colleges on the designated portal must be accurate and consistent, with no discrepancies between the data shared with different Boards of the Commission.
It warned that once the application is submitted, colleges will not be able to edit the information. The data and details submitted may also be made public at any time if deemed appropriate by the NMC. The portal for submission of the annual declaration can be accessed through NMC Application Portal.
The Commission further informed that the required fee of Rs 3,54,000, inclusive of 18 percent GST, must be paid online exclusively through the portal’s payment gateway along with the application for permission to admit undergraduate medical seats for the academic year 2026–27.
“No other mode of payment will be accepted,” the communication stated.
The deadline for submission of the required details along with the applicable fee on the NMC portal is May 30, 2026, and no extension will be granted beyond the stipulated date.
