NITI Aayog Joint Secretary delivers expert talk at SMVDU

Jammu, Apr 08: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra organised an expert talk on Mission Lifestyle for Environment, delivered by Yugal Joshi, Joint Secretary of NITI Aayog and Director of Mission LiFE.
The talk focused on encouraging mindful lifestyle choices to preserve the planet, showcasing sustainable living practices and emphasising individual responsibility towards the environment. The event was graced by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Pragati Kumar and coordinated by Professor of Practice, Uma Devi, in collaboration with the NSS unit of the University.
Following the expert talk, NSS volunteers celebrated their 2nd Foundation day with a display of talent, including songs, poems, and classical dance performances. NSS student coordinator Sadhvi Sharma presented an overview of various activities organized by the NSS unit over the past two years.
Prof Pragati Kumar felicitated Shri Yugal Joshi and expressed gratitude for his contributions to the Mission LiFE subject. The efforts of NSS volunteers were also appreciated, and Sadhvi Sharma and Abhishek Kumar Sharma were awarded for their outstanding contributions. NSS Programme Coordinator, Dr Rajiv Kumar, and Co-coordinator, Dr Kamaldeep, were also present at the event.
