“Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0”: Commissioner PF holds Awareness, Outreach programme

Kishtwar, Jan 29:Regional PF Commissioner- for Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, Rizwan Uddin today successfully conducted an awareness and outreach programme called “Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0” at the Conference Hall, DC Office in Kishtwar.
The outreach program, held in collaboration with the Chenab Valley Power Projects Ltd. aimed to address concerns and issues faced by employers and employees in the region.
Neelam Shami Rao, Central Provident Fund Commissioner, graced the event via video conference and addressed the program.
HOPs of Pakal Dul, Kiru & Kwar HE Projects of CVPPPL and over 250 contractors & contract staff engaged by CVPPL and other agencies working in Kishtwar attended the event.
During his visit to Kishtwar, the PF Commissioner visited the M/s Ratle power project site, where he engaged in detailed discussions with the workers and their representatives. He listened to their grievances regarding non-deposition of PF by multiple contractors and issued necessary directions for compliance.
Furthermore, various members presented their grievances during the program. The PF Commissioner directed employers to submit relevant documents for settling cases, ensured the correction of UAN details for PF deposit, and addressed the issue of providing pension to the dependents of an employee involved in an accident. The CVPPPL and various agencies assured the formation of a grievance cell to address the concerns faced by contract employees and employers in coordination with the EPFO.
The contractors present at the conference hall were also directed to promptly resolve their employees’ issues and deposit the PF amount at the earliest. The PF Commissioner also addressed grievances from members whose employers had failed to deposit PF contributions, directing the employers to resolve the issues and submit necessary forms for UAN changes.
Speaking on the occasion, PF Commissioner Rizwan Uddin highlighted the importance of enrolling employees under PF and Pension Fund and emphasized the need for timely contributions to protect their families in the event of any untoward incidents.
On the request of Kishan Mazdoor Union, Rizwan Uddin, Regional P F Commissioner met the workers at M/s Ratle Power projects site and also met president Ravi Kumar Sharma and general secretary Jeevan Lal. The commissioner listened to the workers and issued necessary directions to the employer on the spot to resolve their issues and submit the compliance report before 2 PM on 30.01.2024.
He further said,”The Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 programme has provided a platform for employers and employees to address their concerns. Through this outreach effort, we aim to ensure that employees receive their rightful benefits and employers understand their responsibilities. We are committed to creating a secure and transparent environment for workers in our region.”
Expressing his gratitude, PF Commissioner Rizwan Uddin thanked CMD, NHPC Rajeev Kumar Vishnoi, and Ramesh Mukhiya, MD, CVPPL, for their support in organizing the successful event “Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0” in Kishtwar.
