Srinagar, Sept 04: The Court in Pulwama, designated under the NIA Act, has issued Proclamation Orders under Section 82 of the CrPC (Criminal Procedure Code) against four active terrorists who are believed to be involved in several cases. These cases include: Case FIR No. 42/2018 under sections 18, 20, and 38 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UA(P)) at Police Station Pampore, Case FIR No. 119/2022 under section 38 of UA(P) Act at Police Station Tral, Case FIR No. 04/2018 under sections 18, 20, and 38 of UA(P) Act at Police Station Tral, Case FIR No. 36/2023 under sections 7/25 of the Indian Arms Act, 18, 20, 23, 25, 38, and 39 of UA(P) Act at Police Station Tral.
The police, in a statement to the news agency Kashmir Dot Com, identified the terrorists against whom these Proclamation Orders have been issued include Owais Feroz Mir, son of Feroz Ahmad Mir, a resident of Frestibal Pampore. Gowhar Manzoor Wani, son of Manzoor Ahmad Wani, a resident of Hurdumir Tral, Mubashir Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Nabi Dar, a resident of Syedabad Tral, Feroz Ahmad Ganie, son of Gh. Nabi Ganie (also known as Nabir Ganie), a resident of Noorpora Awantipora.
Before issuing proclamation, the Court has already issued open ended non bailable warrants (NBW) against these terrorists, police said, adding that today proclamation orders have been read in the conspicuous places of their native villages and Copies of proclamations were pasted in conspicuous places of their residential Houses and conspicuous place of their villages as well.
Before issuing these Proclamation Orders, the Court had already issued open-ended Non-Bailable Warrants (NBW) against these terrorists. Today’s Proclamation Orders have been made public in prominent places in their native villages. Copies of these Proclamations have also been posted in conspicuous locations in their residential houses and respective villages.
The Court has given the mentioned individuals a chance to surrender before the competent authority by or before 10th October 2023. The NIA Court has also extended this opportunity to terrorist Feroz Ahmad Ganie. (KDC)
