Srinagar:- The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the construction and upgradation of the existing 2-lane to 4-lane dual carriageway NH Standard from Pandach to Manigam of NH-1 in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District.
This development is a crucial part of the Srinagar Ring Road, Phase-IIA, under the Bharatmala Pariyojna in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The project, estimated at Rs. 418.93 Crore, entails the transformation of NH-1 from the existing chainage Km17.974 to Km 29.792. The Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode will be employed for this significant undertaking, contributing to the enhancement of transportation infrastructure in the region.
Interested contractors are invited to submit their bids, with the bidding period open from October 30, 2023, to December 26, 2023. The bids, comprising Financial and Technical components, must be submitted online through the official portals http://etenders.gov.in and https://bims.gov.in before 1100 hours IST on the closing date.
The bids received online will be unveiled on December 27, 2023, at 1130 hours IST. The NHAI emphasizes that bids submitted through any other mode will not be entertained. This project, with a completion period of 2 years and a maintenance period of 5 years, signifies a significant stride in the infrastructural development of the Union Territory.
This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways’ commitment to advancing national highways for improved connectivity and socio-economic development.
