NC's Mian Altaf files nominations for Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary seat as INDIA Bloc candidate

Mian Altaf Ahmad, a senior leader of the National Conference, filed his nominations for the Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary constituency on Thursday morning, representing the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) Bloc. Former chief minister Omar Abdullah and senior Congress leader Ghulam Ahmad Mir and other party members accompanied him. Mian is set to contest as the INDIA Bloc candidate for the constituency. Political analysts predict a direct contest between the INDIA Bloc candidate and Mehbooba Mufti, President of the People’s Democratic Party, in the upcoming election.
