Mir welcomes new entrants into Congress Party

Dooru, Dec 12: Former Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee President Ghulam Ahmad Mir on Monday welcomed dozens of prominent persons into Congress Party during a worker’s convention at Trajan Halsidar in Dooru segment of South Kashmir.

According to a party statement, Mir urged the new entrants to work for the people and further strengthen the Congress Party. He termed the new joining a step in the right direction saying that it is the Congress Party alone which is committed to the cause of serving and representing people, in true sense.

He said the Party will continue to fight for people's rights. Former JKPCC President also presided a condolence meeting at Halan Verinag where he met various local delegations, who apprised him about the developmental issues confronting them.
