MHA’s principal CCA unveils 'PBAS' budget software at PCR Kashmir"

Srinagar, Apr 2 : In a major push for digital governance in security-related financial management, Dr Ajay Shanker Singh, ICAS, Principal Chief Controller of Accounts (CCA), Ministry of Home Affairs, on Wednesday inaugurated the PHQ Budget Allocation Software (PBAS) at the Police Control Room (PCR) Kashmir. Designed to streamline budget allocation, monitoring, and utilisation within the Police Headquarters, the PBAS platform is being seen as a key initiative to enhance financial transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency of the J&K Police. officers, including J&K DGP Nalin Prabhat-IPS, Special DGP Coordination PHQ Shri S.J.M. Gillani-IPS, ADGP Headquarters M.K. Sinha-IPS, and IGP Kashmir V.K. Birdi-IPS, attended the launch ceremony. Other district and armed police officials joined via video conferencing.  Speaking on the occasion, Dr Singh emphasised the role of digital platforms in ensuring real-time financial oversight. vital for enhancing institutional efficiency and accountability within the police organisation.  A live demonstration of the software was given by Shakeel Maqbool, ICAS-IFA J&K, who explained that the platform aligns with the broader vision of digital transformation. "It will facilitate efficient planning, allocation, and monitoring of budgetary resources while minimising delays and manual errors," he said.  DGP J&K presented a memento to Dr Singh as a token of appreciation.
