JKP attaches property of drug peddler in Samba

Jammu, Apr 08: The Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) on Monday attached house of an alleged drug peddler in Samba district of Jammu region.

A police spokesman said that a single-storey house in Rakh Barotian village of Samba district valuing around Rs 16 lakh was attached by the Police.

The attached property belonged to Mohmmad Younis. He had illegally acquired the property by indulging in drug trafficking which was established during investigations, the spokesman said

Younis has been involved in several cases of drug peddling registered in various police stations in the region, he added.

Prima facie, the property was acquired from illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, he said.

The action was taken by Police under Section U/S8/21/22/29 of NDPs Act and FIR No 204/2021u/s8/21/22/29 of NDPS Act, he added.
