Srinagar, Apr 03: The Director of School Education Kashmir, Naseer Ahmad Wani (JKAS), on Friday conducted a series of early morning surprise inspections across several schools in Srinagar within the first half hour of their opening, focusing on punctuality, discipline, and institutional accountability.
During the visits, the Director monitored the attendance of teaching staff and assessed the overall functioning of schools during the opening period. He visited Government Middle School Aloochi Bagh at around 9:15 AM, where he verified staff attendance and joined students in the morning prayer.
Interacting with the staff, Wani said the initial moments of school opening set the tone for the entire day and must reflect discipline, commitment, and purpose. He directed that morning assemblies be conducted with full participation, incorporating moral and value-based education.
Highlighting the importance of structured academic functioning, Wani said all teaching and learning activities should be carried out in an organised manner in line with the academic calendar prescribed by the department.
Reiterating the need for regular monitoring, he directed all Zonal Education Officers across Kashmir Division to ensure full inspection of schools under their jurisdiction and submit weekly reports to the Directorate.
The Directorate reiterated its commitment to strengthening accountability, improving academic standards, and fostering a disciplined and value-driven educational environment across schools in the region.
