Srinagar, Apr 5 : Chief of Defence Staff Anil Chauhan reviewed the security situation and operational readiness along the Line of Control in north Kashmir, with a focus on strengthening joint operations and future preparedness, officials said on Sunday.
During his visit to forward areas, General Chauhan was briefed on the ground situation and the preparedness of the Chinar Corps.
He appreciated the formation for maintaining a high level of readiness and professionalism in a challenging operational environment, they said.
At Baramulla, the CDS was given a presentation on the use of emerging technologies and their integration into operational planning.
Addressing officers, he said evolving security challenges require a shift towards multi-domain operations, involving coordinated action across land, air, cyber and space domains.
He emphasised the need for enhanced joint training, alignment of operational doctrines and development of integrated command structures to deal with future threats.
The CDS also called for long-term planning to address emerging challenges through innovation and a coordinated national approach.
He interacted with civil administration officials and other stakeholders in Baramulla, and reviewed developmental initiatives in the region, the officials added.(KNS)
