Authorities close schools tomorrow due to heavy rains in Rajouri

Rajouri, Apr 3 : Authorities in Rajouri district on Friday ordered the closure of all government and private schools for Saturday, April 4, following persistent intermittent rains and adverse weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir.

An official order issued by the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri accessed by News agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) stated the decision was taken to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff.

Notably, Intermittent rainfall continued across the union territory on Friday, with light snowfall recorded in some upper reaches. The wet spell has resulted in slippery roads, waterlogging in low-lying areas, and slow traffic movement in parts of the valley.

The district administration advised parents and teachers to take necessary precautions. (KNS)
