Anantnag-Rajouri PC: Gupta urges support for Mian Altaf, calls for change from BJP’s ‘misrule’

Rajouri, Apr 29: Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President National Conference Jammu on Monday chaired a crucial meeting with senior functionaries of the party in Rajouri aimed at devising effective strategies in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls scheduled for May 07 The primary focus of the discussion revolved around gathering widespread support for Mian Altaf Ahmed, the party’s candidate from the Anantnag- Rajouri Parliamentary Constituency seat and amplifying awareness about the "misrule" of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the Centre and J&K, the NC said in a statement issued here. The meeting was attended by Shafayat Khan District President Rajouri Urban, Shafqat Mir Provincial Secretary, Rakesh Singh (Raka), Parvez Mirza, Khurshid Lone, Aasif Choudhary, Nazeer Hussain, Mirza Rehman Amjed Choudhary, Abdul Qadir Khan Adv and others. During the meeting, Gupta highlighted the significance of galvanizing the electorate to rally behind Mian Altaf Ahmed and firmly emphasised the urgent need for change and better governance. "The people of Rajouri Poonch Anantnag districts must unite under the banner of the INDIA Alliance to bring about a positive transformation in their representation and to address various pressing issues that require immediate attention," he said. The senior leaders of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference urged the people of Rajouri Poonch Anantnag districts to extend their unwavering support to Mian Altaf Ahmed and vote for the National Conference's vision of "progress, inclusivity and good governance". They highlighted the party's commitment to addressing the concerns and aspirations of the people and reiterated that the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls present a crucial opportunity to reclaim their voice on a national level. Rattan Lal urged members of the NC to work diligently at the grassroots level, engaging with the citizens, and ensuring their voices are heard in the upcoming elections. He further emphasised the importance of maximum public participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls. Gupta exhorted party workers to leave no stone unturned to encourage and facilitate both young and old citizens to avail of the opportunity to vote to bring change from the "misrule" of the BJP government at the Centre and J&K. The Provincial President urged the party workers to uphold their duties and responsibilities towards democracy's functioning and make every effort to engage with and mobilise the general public towards high voter turnout in the upcoming polls and also ensure a resounding victory of NC candidate from the Rajouri-Anantnag Lok Sabha seat.
