Pulwama, Apr 08: Dolphin Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology marked World Health Day with great zeal and academic spirit under the theme “Together for Health, Stand with Science.”

 

The event witnessed the gracious presence of Chairman Firdous Ahmad Wani, Principal Prof. Dr. Sameer Ahmad Dar, H.O.D Allied Health Sciences Mr. Ehsan, along with administrative staff, faculty members of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, and a large gathering of enthusiastic students.

 

Addressing the gathering, Principal Prof. Dr. Sameer Ahmad Dar eloquently unfolded the essence of the theme, emphasizing that collective responsibility and unity among healthcare professionals are the foundation of a strong healthcare system.

 

He highlighted the growing need to stand firmly with scientific knowledge in an era where myths and misconceptions can easily mislead society. Stressing the significance of evidence-based research, he urged students and faculty to adopt a scientific approach in healthcare practices and contribute actively towards improving community health outcomes.

 

The programme featured a series of academic and co-curricular activities including speech competition, poster presentation, and PowerPoint presentation, providing students a platform to express their understanding and creativity on health-related issues.

 

The competitive spirit not only enhanced awareness but also boosted the morale and confidence of participants.

 

The celebration concluded on a high note with the distribution of prizes among the winners, acknowledging their efforts and encouraging a culture of learning and excellence within the institution.
