Srinagar, May 22: To enhance the allure of Srinagar’s Dal Lake and attract more tourists, a new floating aqua park has been introduced by a private individual.
The Dal Lake, a perennial attraction for tourists, is undergoing a significant transformation in recent years as authorities strive to improve its appeal and amenities.
An official described the floating aqua park as a recreational facility built on water, featuring inflatable structures like slides, trampolines, climbing walls, and obstacle courses. Offering a fun and adventurous experience, such parks are typically located in lakes, oceans, or large swimming pools.
According to a tourism official, Dal Lake has seen several upgrades in recent times, including colorful fountains, renovated decks, and additional facilities. Moreover, zorbing balls have been introduced, adding to the recreational options available at the lake.
The manager of the Floating Aqua Park highlighted that the facility has recently been established and is drawing visitors of all ages. Trained staff are on hand to coach water sports enthusiasts, with life-saving jackets provided as a safety measure.
Mohammed Arslaan (17), a young visitor, expressed appreciation for the initiative, stating that the floating park offers exciting opportunities for water sports activities.
The tourism department emphasized their commitment to maintaining the cleanliness of Dal Lake and ensuring its status as a preferred tourist destination. Currently, Dal Lake continues to captivate tourists and hold a special place in their hearts.
