Jammu, Nov 03: Apni Party senior leader and social activist C D Sharma (Rtd Principal) joined the National Conference in the presence of Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial President Jammu Province at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan, Jammu, the NC said on Friday.
Welcoming C D Sharma into the party fold, Gupta described the National Conference as “a mass movement that has all along stood for the just cause of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and strived for development and progress of the J&K with a sense of commitment”. He said the victory of the National Conference in the upcoming polls is the solution to every problem.
Rattan Lal urged the people to support the National Conference, saying they believe it is the only party that can fulfill the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir for a brighter future for the generation to come and work towards equitable development, progress, peace and brotherhood in J&K.
C D Sharma, according to the statement, pledged to carry forward the mission of the National Conference in transforming Jammu and Kashmir into a peaceful and progressive UT with devotion and dedication. “He joined the party because National Conference being a secular party and has great faith in the leadership of Dr Farooq Abdullah Former Chief Minister and President, JKNC and Mr Omar Abdullah Former Chief Minister and Vice President of JKNC. I will strengthen the party and work for the brotherhood, peace, social justice and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir,” the statement said
