Pulwama, Oct 08: National Conference’s Ghulam Mohi ud Din Mir has emerged victorious from the Rajpora constituency in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Mir defeated the PDP’s Syed Bashir Ahmad by a margin of 14,313 votes. Mir secured 25,627 votes, while Ahmad received 11,314 votes. BJP’s Arsheed Ahmad Bhat finished third with 5,584 votes.
This marks Mir’s second victory from the Rajpora constituency, having previously represented it in 1996.
Speaking to the media, Mir said that NC-INC coalition will form the next government in Jammu and Kashmir. He also expressed gratitude to his supporters for their continued trust in him.
