NC, PDP fooling people, they can’t restore Art 370: BJP Mahila Morcha President

Jammu, Aug 25: Vanathi Srinivasan, the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha, on Sunday the National Conference (NC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are misleading the public by promising the restoration of Article 370, which is an impossible task according to her.
Speaking criticised these opposition parties, saying they are attempting to fool the people by including the reinstatement of Article 370 in their election manifestos.
The abrogation of Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu & Kashmir, was executed by the Indian Parliament in August 2019, under the BJP-led government.
Srinivasan said the people of J&K have suffered a lot due to some separatist political parties but now the younger generation wants to live a peaceful life and hopes to see development in this region which only can be provided by the BJP.
She also expressed confidence that the NC and PDP would be defeated in the upcoming assembly elections. “Their promises regarding Article 370 or renaming Shankaracharya Hill are mere political strategies aimed at their family’s benefit,” she said.
Srinivasan said the Mahila Morcha would like to connect with more beneficiaries of government schemes, especially women. “We want to make people aware of their property rights that came with the abrogation of Article 370 and the reservation ensured to the scheduled caste community,” she said.
