Srinagar, May, 02: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary and MLA Khanyar Ali Mohammad Sagar held an extensive interaction with several civil society delegations from Khanyar, Brari Nambal and adjoining areas.
During the meeting, the public raised a wide range of issues, including the need for improved healthcare facilities, better functioning of schools, augmentation of water supply and streamlining of ration distribution. While the visiting delegation expressed satisfaction over the developmental initiatives undertaken during the MLA’s current tenure, they stressed that more sustained efforts are required, noting that the area had faced prolonged neglect under previous administrations.
Local officials, including Zonal Education Officers, Chief Education Officers and representatives from various departments also met with Sagar and apprised him of the ongoing upgradation and augmentation works across key sectors.
Meanwhile, State Women’s Wing President and MLA Habbakadal, Shameema Firdous conducted an extensive tour of her constituency. She took stock of the availability of basic civic amenities, including ration supply and drinking water and reviewed the progress of ongoing developmental works. She also inspected healthcare facilities and interacted with hospital staff and patients to assess the quality of services being provided.
