Srinagar, Oct 05: National Conference (NC) on Saturday vehemently denounced right-wing extremist Yati Narsinghanand’s derogatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the Holy Quran.
In his unequivocal condemnation of the blasphemous remarks, the NC’s State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar said the blasphemous remarks have deeply wounded the sentiments of Muslims both in India and around the world.
“Such derogatory comments not only tarnish India’s reputation for religious harmony and tolerance but also have the potential to incite communal tensions,” he said.
Imran called for the immediate arrest and accountability of the individual/organisation responsible for making the inflammatory remarks. “It is the government’s duty to ensure that such people who seek to sow discord and division are swiftly brought to justice. We hope that strict and decisive action will be taken against the perpetrator to send a clear message that such behaviour will not be tolerated,” he stressed.
The NC spokesperson implored the people to remain calm and not allow such bigots to shatter the peace and unity within the society. “Let us stand strong together and refuse to let hatred and division prevail. We urge for unity and respect among all faiths and call for an end to such divisive rhetoric that only serves to divide us further. Let us stand together in the face of such intolerance and bigotry, and strive for a world where all beliefs are respected and cherished.”

Arrest Narsinghanand for his blasphemous remarks: DPAP
Srinagar, Oct 05: Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Chief Spokesperson, Salman Nizami on Saturday called for the immediate arrest of right-wing extremist Yati Narsinghanand for making insulting remarks against Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a statement issued here, Nizami urged the government to take swift action and impose a ban on all individuals who insult other religions, regardless of their faith. He said that even if someone from the Muslim community engages in such behaviour, they would demand action against them, as they have never defended such individuals.
“Yati Narsinghanand’s remarks have deeply hurt the sentiments of the Muslim community, and the government must not delay in addressing this issue,” he said, adding, “People like Yati are a danger to society, attempting to spread hate in a country where all religions are respected. Such individuals not only want to sow division but also tarnish the image of the nation, which thrives on unity and harmony.”
Nizami said the people of India are peace-loving, and individuals like Yati Narsinghanand seek to divide and spread hate, which will not be allowed. “We will never tolerate anyone insulting any religion,” he added.
The DPAP spokesperson appealed to the Muslim community to maintain peace and demand action against such hate-mongers in a peaceful manner.
