Srinagar, Oct 19: Protem Speaker Mubarak Gul on Saturday said the National Conference is committed to its manifesto and that the party will not dilute its core principles.
He said, “Our strategy is shaped by the people. (Chief Minister) Omar Abdullah has made a commitment, and NC will not waver in its goals. We will not get diluted.”
Expressing gratitude for his appointment as Protem Speaker, Gul said, “I thank God for giving me this opportunity. Very few people get the chance to hold an oath ceremony.”
Mubarak said his achievement is like a sportsman winning a medal. “The challenge for me now is to navigate out of the current situation,” he said, adding that it is crucial to address the pressing issues facing the region.
