Jammu, March 13: Former Minister and senior national conference leader Babu Ram Paul on Monday said his party has the potential to take people along and fulfill the aspirations of the people of all sections of the JK UT and sought support for the party.
He was addressing a public meeting in Jammu that was organized by Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) and Zonal Secretary Central Zone JKNC, Dr Vikas Sharma
Babu Ram said that the present scenario of Jammu and Kashmir has pushed the youth towards depression and anxiety as they are worried about their future presently looming in darkness.
“Unemployment among youth has also impacted the life of the educated youth who are concerned about their career for which their parents are in a doldrums and deeply worried about their children”, Ram Paul added.
He gave a call to youth of the region to come out of their comfort zones and launch a struggle for their rights under the banner of the National Conference.
The former minister further said that the present dispensation has failed on all fronts and the common man is the worst sufferer.
He said that inflation is all time high, prices of essential commodities including medicines are skyrocketing. “The prices of petroleum products including cooking gas have also increased manifold”, he added.
He also criticised the stoppage of ‘Darbar Move’ practice as immoral by the government because it has adversely affected the business community.
He assured the people that once voted to power, NC will bring justice for the youth and the commoners.
Zonal Secretary JKNC, Dr Vikas Sharma while speaking on the occasion said that National Conference has always worked for the downtrodden section of the society and believes in equality, communal brotherhood and justice for all.
He said that those spreading communalism will never succeed as the people have now realized their agenda and motive, he emphasized appealing the people to beware of such nefarious forces having communal agenda.
