Jammu, Jan 06: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President, JP Nadda is arriving in Jammu on Sunday, January 07, 2024, on a one-day visit to review the preparedness of the party’s J&K unit regarding the 2024 Parliamentary elections. He will also seek the report card of the party’s sitting Members of Parliament.
During his short visit to Jammu, Nadda will hold two crucial meetings at the party’s head office at Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. He will first of all hold a meeting with the office bearers of the party’s J&K unit.
“We were informed on the WhatsApp group to reach to party office by 12 noon tomorrow for a meeting with the BJP National President,” BJP District President Jammu (West), Munish Khajuria, informed Rising Kashmir.
After the meeting with office bearers, the BJP chief will hold an all-important meeting with the core group of the party’s J&K unit, he said, adding that the core group meeting will be attended by J&K BJP President, Ravinder Raina, General Secretary (Organisation), Ashok Koul, two sitting MPs, former Deputy Chief Ministers, Kavinder Gupta and Nirmal Singh, Devender Rana, Tarun Chug, Incharge J&K BJP, Ashish Sood (Seh Prabhari), former BJP J&K President, Sat Sharma and Dr Darakhshan Andrabi.
In the two meetings, Nadda will take feedback from the UT leaders about the performance of the two sitting MPs, party sources said, adding, “The names of the probable candidates for 2024 Lok Sabha elections from J&K would also be discussed in the meeting.”
The BJP National President will also review the implementation of various public welfare schemes launched by the Modi government in J&K.
“We have been told by the party high command to come prepared in the meetings with the report card of implementation of various Centrally-sponsored public welfare schemes of the Modi government,” a senior party leader said, adding that Nadda will also review the status and progress of Viksit Baharat Sankalp Yatra in J&K in meetings with the UT leaders of the party.
