My Town, My Pride 2.0 to kickstart in Baramulla from Monday

Baramulla, Dec 04: The two days program of ‘My Town, My Pride’ 2.0 will commence from tomorrow on 5th December in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, an official said. 
An official said that ‘My Town, My Pride’, aims to deliver public services at doorsteps, build developmental initiatives on the feedback, cooperation and participation from people and strengthen strong and vibrant local self-governance. 
He said that during the two days programme, a series of activities will be held across the district.
President Municipal Council Baramulla Touseef Raina told Rising Kashmir that prelude to My Town, My Pride’ program awareness cum training programmes, seminars, plantation drives, special sanitation drives, water sample testing, anti-encroachment drives and other activities were carried out by various departments across the municipal council Baramulla. 
He said that during the 2nd phase of ‘My Town, My Pride’ discussions and onspot redressal related to developmental issues will be held across the town. 
“Grievances related to the public will be discussed wherein three visiting officers from various departments will be deputed to check the status of developmental works,” Touseef added. 
He said that during the program, the administration will make sure to deliver public services at doorsteps, build developmental initiatives on the feedback, cooperation and participation from people and strengthen strong and vibrant local self-governance. 
President Municipal Council Baramulla appealed the citizen’s of Baramulla to participate in the 
2nd phase of MTMP program to discuss their developmental issues and share feedback and take part in the decision making process.  
President Municipal Committee Sopore Masarat Rasool Kar told Rising Kashmir that during Jan Abhiyan program cheques were provided to Self-Help Groups and Street Vending Certificates to the concerned beneficiaries. She said that Maternity Kits were also provided to the lactating mothers.
“The celebrations of My Town, My Pride’ phase 2 will commence in Sopore from tomorrow and a series of activities will be held across the town. We have nominated three venues for the program i.e Dak Bungalow Sopore, Government Girls Higher Secondary school, Sopore and Government HS Jamia Qadeem,” Masarat added.
