Srinagar, Sept 27: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Kashmir on Saturday conducted a major enforcement drive across Srinagar district.
The operation, launched following the directions of the Transport Commissioner, J&K, was led by ARTO Muazzam Ali and his Flying Squad team under the supervision of RTO Kashmir, with a strong focus on curbing violations and ensuring compliance with the Motor Vehicles Act and Rules.
During the drive, over 225 vehicles were checked, resulting in 32 E-challans being issued, with a penalty amount of nearly Rs 1.4 lakh. During the drive, three vehicles were seized, three licences suspended, and two vehicles blacklisted.
"Such enforcement drives will continue to ensure road safety," the MVD said. He urged citizens to strictly follow traffic norms.
