Multiple competitions as part of SVEEP campaign organised in Kupwara

Srinagar, 18th of May, 2024 : Under the overall supervision of Chief Electoral Officer, Jammu and Kashmir P.K Pole, IAS the dedicated efforts are underway to diligently execute the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Campaign in the Parliamentary Constituency of Baramulla going to poll on 20th of May, 2024 comprising of 18 Assembly segments. Under the dedicated teams of CEO Office, J&K comprised of UT Nodal officer for SVEEP Akhter Husain Qazi and Media Nodal Officer for CEO office J&K Sapna Kotwal multiple awareness camps were organised and held today at the border areas of district Kupwara. The events were held in collaboration with district administration Kupwara wherein SDM Karnah in coordination with education department and other partners organised programme at Govt Girls Hrs. Sec. School Tangdhar wherein hundreds of students and first time voters participated and vowed to cast their vote along with their family members on the poll day of Baramulla PC scheduled on 20th of May, 2024.
The main attraction of the programme witnessed cultural and sports activities also voter slips among Ist time voters were distributed. The Team of CEO office visited Green Polling Station Teetwal Karnah and appreciated the efforts undertaken by the district administration under the overall supervision of District Election officer Kupwara and other team members.
⁠SNO SVEEP and Media Nodal Officer for CEO office, J&K also visited the First polling station of 01-Baramulla PC or First PS of India, the starting point where from democracy starts namely Seemari Polling station of Karnah and sensitised masses about the ethical and qualitative voting and also requested to them to come in large numbers on the poll day and cast their vote. The said campaign also aims to raise awareness about voting rights and ethical voting practices across the Kupwara district in preparation for the upcoming LokSabha Election 2024 for the parliamentary Constituency Baramulla scheduled for 20th of May, 2024 the fifth phase of the election to the house of people. The said event played a pivotal role in engaging the community of border areas of Kupwara and fostering awareness for maximum participation in the democratic process, particularly within District Kupwara. The young Participants showcased their creativity and talent in promoting ethical voting practices.
