The historic Mughal Road reopened for traffic on Monday after remaining closed for vehicular movement due to fresh snowfall, officials said.
Vehicular movement on the Mughal road, connecting Kashmir Valley’s Shopian district with the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch, was restricted after a fresh spell of snowfall in the region on Sunday.
In a post on X, Deputy Commissioner Ponch said, “Mughal road is through.Passengers are requested plan early departure to ensure PKG crossing before 4 pm. Also please keep an eye out for advisories.”
