Bandipora, June 19: A 25-year-old motorcyclist on Monday lost his life in a road accident in Panzigam area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Eyewitnesses told Rising Kashmir that the victim identified as Faisal, son of Farooq Ahmad, resident of Panzigam, was riding his motorcycle when he lost control and fell from the bike, sustaining severe injuries.
They said that prompt assistance was provided by bystanders who rushed to the scene and called for immediate medical help.
He was quickly taken to the district hospital Bandipora however, despite the best efforts of doctors he could not be saved and was declared dead upon arrival, they said.
A police official said that they have taken note of the accident and have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
