JAMMU, June 18: The Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri, on Sunday said that stone pelting has stopped completely in the Union Territory of J&K after the abrogation Article 370 and big corporate houses are coming forward to invest here.
Addressing a public rally at Kathua, the Union Minister said that peace and safe environment are pre-requisite for investment and also the employment.
After the repealing of Article 370, which gave special status to J&K, the Union Minister said, “The law and order has improved in this UT and the issues of national security are now being addressed properly”.
“Big investments are coming forward to invest in J&K as the law and order situation has improved and these investments will not only create job opportunities for the youth but the UT will see overall development, the Union Minister further said.
“Today, J&K is changing fast and is writing a new chapter of development”, Hardeep Puri said. The rally was organized by J&K BJP in connection with the ongoing programmes under ‘9 Saal Bemisaal’ on the successful completion of 9 years by Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Union Government.
The Union Minister also highlighted various achievements and welfare schemes of the Modi Government in the last 9 years since 2014.
