JAMMU, Sept 22: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Sunday that the “Mohabbat Ki Dukaan” of the National Conference (NC) and Congress will be shut after the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that the public has recognised how these dynastic parties promote “terrorism from this Dukaan and spread hatred.”
Addressing a rally in support of J&K BJP President RavinderRaina, Shah announced that the BJP would soon issue a white paper to expose the roles of the Abdullah, Mufti, and Gandhi families in fostering terrorism in the region. “We will soon issue a white paper on terrorism, and people will know who brought it to J&K and who supported it,” he stated.
Shah emphasised that Pakistan is fearful of Prime Minister Modi, attributing the recent calm on the border to this apprehension. “There is no need for bunkers in border areas now as Pakistan is afraid of PM Modi. If they fire one bullet, we will hit back with a bomb,” he warned.
He criticized the NC and Congress for attempting to revive terrorism in J&K and for promising to restore Article 370, asserting, “Article 370 is history, and PM Modi has buried terrorism so deep that it will not raise its head for decades.” Shah challenged Farooq Abdullah, stating, “Your three generations have gone, and the next three generations will also go, but Article 370 will never come back as long as the BJP is in power.”
Reflecting on the history of violence in the region, Shah recounted, “J&K suffered from terrorism for three decades. There was curfew for 3,000 days, and 40,000 people were killed due to terrorism.” He directly confronted Farooq Abdullah, asking, “Where were you for 3,000 days? You were holidaying in London while people were dying here.”
Shah credited PM Modi for restoring peace in J&K, noting significant cultural events, like the Tazia procession returning to Kashmir after 35 years and cinemas reopening after 30 years. “After elections, when our government is formed, we will bring a white paper on terrorism and expose the three families who had ‘biryani’ with terrorists,” he said.
He affirmed that there will be no dialogue with Pakistan until terrorism is eradicated: “I want to tell Farooq Abdullah and Rahul Gandhi that there will be no dialogue with Pakistan till terrorism is wiped out. I will talk with my lions (youth of J&K), not with Pakistan.”
Amit Shah reiterated that the BJP would not allow any stone-pelter or terrorist to be released from jail, promising, “No terrorist or stone-pelter will be released. The Modi government will bury terrorism deep inside the earth.”
On the issue of reservations for marginalized communities, he defended existing rights for Paharis, Gujjars, Dalits, and other backward classes, stating, “Rahul Gandhi is saying in America that there is no need for reservation. I want to tell him that you will not be allowed to end reservation for deserving communities.”
Shah concluded by reaffirming that the national flag will remain the only flag flying in J&K, dismissing Abdullah’s aspirations for a return to the state flag: “There will be only one flag in J&K, i.e., the Tiranga.” He warned, “Nobody has the power to make such changes, and the names of Shankaracharya and Hari Parbat will remain as they are.”
