Srinagar, Mar 07:In a rare and empowering demonstration, two groups of female entrepreneurs from Kashmir shared their remarkable success stories with Prime Minister NarendraModi at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar.
HameedaBano, a leading figure in the dairy industry from the Lar area of Ganderbal, emerged as a symbol of empowerment through her groundbreaking dairy venture, AsliDahi. With the support of the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM), a government initiative aimed at enhancing the livelihoods of rural communities, Banokickstarted her business. During the telecast of the Prime Minister’s rally, Bano expressed her gratitude for the government’s initiatives, which have enabled women entrepreneurs like herself to thrive. Prime Minister Modi commended Bano for her entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen, and dedication to promoting nutrition while upholding high-quality standards in an environmentally sustainable manner.
Prime Minister Modialso interacted with an all-girls group who work at the bakery shop under EhtisamMajeedBhat, a resident of Srinagar. Despite belonging to lower-middle-class families, the group’s passion for the bakery led them to undertake a course in food technology, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge. While facing numerous challenges in setting up their enterprise, such as acquiring clearances and permissions, they praised the single-window clearance system established after 2019, which streamlined the process. They expressed gratitude to the government for financial assistance and guidance provided through various schemes and programs.
Prime Minister Modi commended the group for their courage, determination, and creativity in pursuing their dreams. He applauded them for not only supporting their sisters but also providing employment opportunities for other women. Modi assured them of the government’s unwavering support and encouraged more women to embrace entrepreneurship.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi urged the people of Kashmir to support and appreciate women entrepreneurs who are leaving a significant mark across various sectors.
