Jammu, July 21: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta on Sunday highlighted the role of the Modi government’s youth-centric policies in enhancing the skills and generating numerous job opportunities for the youth.
Addressing a Yuva Sammelan organized by the Jammu North unit of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Gupta said the BJYM has made remarkable contributions to empowering the youth of the region. He praised the BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi for consistently prioritizing the youth in its policy framework.
“The BJP government has launched numerous initiatives like Skill India, Start-Up India, and the National Education Policy to equip the youth with the necessary tools to succeed in today’s competitive world,” Gupta said. He highlighted the implementation of various skill development programs and entrepreneurial initiatives that have provided the young population of Jammu and Kashmir with a robust platform to innovate and excel.
The former deputy CM said the BJP government is committed to creating an environment where the youth can dream big and achieve their aspirations with ease. He lauded the BJYM for its relentless efforts in empowering the youth across the Union Territory (UT).
“The BJYM has been at the forefront of numerous initiatives aimed at fostering leadership, patriotism, and community service among the young generation. Their exemplary work in organizing skill development workshops, youth parliaments, and community outreach programs has significantly contributed to the socio-economic upliftment of the region,” he said.
Highlighting specific programs spearheaded by the BJYM, Kavinder mentioned career counselling sessions, health awareness drives, and various other activities that have engaged thousands of young people. “The BJYM’s commitment to nurturing the potential of our youth and guiding them towards constructive and meaningful endeavours is truly commendable,” he said.
The senior BJP leader urged the people to reflect on which party can best serve the region, noting the past governance models led by dynastic parties in J&K. He strongly advocated for voting the BJP government to power in J&K with a thumping majority, saying that only the BJP can ensure meaningful progress in the region with its selfless leaders, for whom the country and its people come first.
Arun Prabhat Singh, State President BJYM, and Vinay Gupta, Seh Parbhari Jammu, also addressed the gathering, reinforcing the commitment to youth empowerment and regional development.
