MLA Langate promises state-of-the-art libraries in every block for students

Langate, Oct 15: MLA Langate Sheikh Khurshid on Tuesday announced ambitious plans to establish well-equipped libraries in every block of the Langate Constituency, aiming to enhance education facilities for students.
In an exclusive conversation with Rising Kashmir, Sheikh Khurshid, said he is committed to transform the educational landscape of the Langate. “Every block in Langate will soon have a library that offers Wi-Fi, electricity, personal lockers, restrooms, and other necessary amenities,” he assured.
He acknowledged that while certain libraries already exist in the constituency, they lack the conducive environment needed for effective learning. “I will make every effort to create such an environment for our students, ensuring these libraries are fully functional and meet their needs.”
MLA Langate further revealed that the libraries would be placed strategically so that students could access one every 4-5 kilometres. “Soon, students will find a well-equipped library within a reasonable distance,” he stated.
Apart from education, the MLA also stressed the importance of upgrading sports infrastructure. He mentioned that existing playfields in the constituency would be improved to support various sports activities. “Not just cricket, but we will cater to other sports based on local preferences. If a particular area prefers volleyball or kabaddi, we will ensure courts for those sports are developed,” he said.
Sheikh Khurshid reaffirmed his commitment to both education and sports development, stating that he would make all possible efforts to fulfill these promises in the coming months, benefiting the youth of Langate.
