Demands Restoration of Halted Work at SDH Habak, Functioning of Mini Maternity Hospital Zakoora and Reopening of SKIMS Anchar Gate
Srinagar: MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar raised key public issues in the ongoing Assembly session, urging the government to take immediate action on critical healthcare and infrastructure concerns affecting the people of Hazratbal and adjoining areas.
Speaking in the Assembly, he strongly advocated for the resumption of halted construction work at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Habak, which has been pending for a long time, causing severe inconvenience to the public. He stressed that the hospital, once completed, would significantly ease the burden on existing healthcare facilities.
The MLA also demanded the full-fledged functioning of Mini Maternity Hospital, Zakoora, highlighting that despite its establishment, the facility is not operating at its full capacity, depriving expecting mothers of essential maternity care services.
Additionally, he pressed for the reopening of the SKIMS gate from the Anchar side, emphasizing that its closure has forced residents, particularly patients, to take longer and more inconvenient routes to access the premier healthcare institution.
Salman Ali Sagar urged the government to address these pressing issues at the earliest to ensure better healthcare access and infrastructure for the people of Hazratbal.
