Jammu, Dec 29: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Bandipora, Nizamuddin Bhat on Sunday met with the Minister for Education, Health & Medical Education and Social Welfare, Sakina Masood at her Jammu residence to discuss key issues concerning the education sector in his constituency.
During their detailed discussion, Bhat, according to a statement, highlighted the challenges and opportunities in the school and higher education in Bandipora. He stressed the importance of enhancing human resources and introducing career-oriented faculties such as Arabic Language, Biochemistry and Geography at the Degree College.
The MLA also highlighted the need for infrastructure improvements at the College and local schools. He said a functional transport system, a dedicated library block, and facilities for female students must be established.
The minister appreciated the significance of these issues and assured Bhat of immediate steps to address them, the statement said, adding that she also committed to resolving individual cases requiring compassionate consideration.
Expressing gratitude for the minister’s proactive response, Bhat expressed optimism about the transformative impact these measures would have on the academic and career prospects of students in the district.
