Srinagar, Sept 07: Jammu & Kashmir Bank organised successful Login Day events this week at its Zonal offices in Baramulla and Rajouri to support aspiring entrepreneurs under J&K Government’s Mission YUVA program. The events underscored the Bank’s commitment to empowering youth by facilitating access to financial assistance and promoting self-employment opportunities.
According to a statement issued here, at Baramulla, the event was chaired by General Manager Shabir Ahmad in presence of DGM & Zonal Head (Baramulla) Tanveer Ahmad Najar, Cluster Head (Sopore) Mehboob Ellahi Khan, Cluster Head (Kupwara) Abdul Majid Bhat, Cluster Head (Bandipora) Sheikh Mohammad Muzaffar and other officials of the Bank.
During the session, 35 sanction letters were formally handed over to beneficiaries to support their entrepreneurial ventures.
Addressing the gathering, General Manager Shabir Ahmad emphasized the importance of the Mission YUVA initiative in addressing employment challenges by encouraging youth-led businesses.
He said, “J&K Bank is proud to stand with the youth of Baramulla in their journey towards entrepreneurship. Through Mission YUVA, we are not just providing loans but enabling young dreamers to build their own businesses and create opportunities for others. Our continued support and guidance will ensure that they turn their aspirations into successful ventures, contributing to the growth and prosperity of the region.” He pledged to work alongside the Government to make the initiative successful.
Meanwhile, in Rajouri, the Bank collaborated with the District Administration to organize Udyami Yuva Day at Dak Bungalow, with Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Chander Prakash as the chief guest.
The Bank’s General Manager Mohammad Muzaffar Wani was also present on the occasion along with Deputy Director Employment Mohammad Nawaz, Bank’s Zonal Head (Rajouri) Rajeev Kumar Digra, Cluster Head Deepak Sharma, Lead District Manager Ravinder Singh, and Branch Heads from across the district. On this occasion, 30 sanction letters were handed over to beneficiaries.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC Chander Prakash commended J&K Bank for its efforts in processing approved cases under Mission Yuva and encouraging the youth to utilise the opportunity to emerge as budding entrepreneurs and create employment opportunities for others. Emphasising the importance of financial discipline, he urged beneficiaries to avoid defaults and strictly adhere to scheme guidelines.
