Jammu, Oct 22: Rahul Yadav, Mission Director of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), conducted a thorough assessment of various agricultural projects and initiatives in Jammu District. The tour of the Mission Director, led by Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) Satish Sharma, included participation from the Joint Director Horticulture, Chief Agriculture Officer Jammu, Chief Animal Husbandary Officer Jammu, Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer Marh, and other officials from allied sectors.
During the visit, Rahul Yadav inspected a Hi-Tech polyhouse established under the protected cultivation by Bhanu Partap Singh from Hakkal village, Zone Mandal. He also reviewed a Controlled Conditioned Cropping unit for mushroom production under HADP, which was provided to Bal Krishan from Gurha Singhu in the Marh Sub Division.
Further engagements included a visit to the Kissan Khidmat Ghar in Gajansoo, where he interacted with local Krishi Udhamis to gather insights on their experiences with the initiatives. The Mission Director also inspected farm machinery distributed under the Farm Mechanization and Automation Project (HADP), noting the recent issuance of the tractors to the local farmers.
In addition, Yadav visited the Uzma Milk Product Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) in Lalyal, Zone Marh, where he met with farmers to discuss the impact of the HADP initiatives.
Reflecting on the tour, Yadav expressed satisfaction with the positive feedback from farmers, stating, “The Holistic Agriculture Development Programme is making a significant difference in the lives of our farmers. It is helping to improve their income and livelihood through targeted support and innovative initiatives.
