Minority killing case: SIA raids 10 locations in South Kashmir

Srinagar, July 18: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Tuesday conducted a third round of searches and raids in a minority killing case raided 10 places in three districts of south Kashmir.
A police spokesman said that 10 locations were raided in three districts Anantnag (5 locations), Kulgam (one) and Shopian(4) in the wee hours on Tuesday.
“These target premises also included residential houses of three active terrorists of LeT namely Danish Hamid Thoker @ Khalid, Ubaid Padder both from Chakoora Shopian and Abrar Farooq Wani of Heff Shirmal,” he said.
SIA is investigating a case FIR No 14/2023 under relevant sections of law of Police Station, Litter, Pulwama which pertains to the killing of Sanjay Sharma, Bank ATM guard, during the month of February 2023 at Achan, Pulwama.
The spokesman further said that searches were conducted by ten special teams of SIA in pursuance of search warrants issued by the Hon’ble Special UAPA Court ,  Pulwama at ten different places to collect evidence relevant to ongoing investigation necessary to unearth conspiracy of minority killings in south Kashmir.
“Among these earmarked ten locations three are residential houses of three active terrorists of LeT who have relevance in the under-investigation case,” he said.
While launching a hunt for substantial evidence, the spokesman said that SIA searched various structures and house keeping records at target places and questioned many individuals for ascertaining circumstances and evidence in the case.
“This has been the third round of search raids since the lodgement of a criminal case for investigation. Prior to these two rounds of searches have already been conducted by the SIA,” he said.
The spokesman further said that the investigation agency has been narrowing down efforts to attain specifications and evidentiary data for the logical conclusion of the case for judicial determination.
Shopian Terrorist Attack:  J&K Police attaches SHO Shopian to RPHQ Anantnag
Srinagar, July 18:  Four days after 3 non local labourers from Bihar were shot at and injured in Shopian in south Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday attached Shopian Station House Officer (SHO) Ghulam Jeelani Bhat to Range Police Headquarter (RPHQ) Anantnag, pending an inquiry.
As per the order issued by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police south Kashmir range on Tuesday reads that “In view of the incident occurred on July 13 at about 8:30 pm at Gagren Shopian, Inspector Gh Jeelani Bhat (AWP) (SHO P/S Shopian) PID No ARP-109258, is attached to RPHQ Anantnag pending inquiry.” 
“This order shall have immediate effect,” the order added.
On July 13 evening, three non-local labourers identified as Anmol Kumar, Pintu Kumar Thakur and Heralal Yadav, all residents of Supaul, Bihar were shot at and injured in a terrorist attack in Shopian district.
