Milad arrangements finalized in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Oct 06: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir Thursday convened a meeting to finalize the arrangements for the smooth celebration of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) in the district.
The DC stressed upon the officers for providing all the requisite facilities to the devotees such as safe drinking water, sanitation, Medicare facilities, adequate transport facilities and uninterrupted power supply.
He enjoined upon the AD, FCS&CA for providing sufficient quota of ration to the people. The EO Municipal Council Ganderbal was directed to ensure proper sanitation in and around the shrines and mosques during the Milad days.
Regarding traffic management, the DC asked the ARTO to streamline the traffic arrangements to facilitate the devotees and ensure better transport facilities and route plan across the district during Milad days. Besides, the Health Department was asked to ensure availability of medicines, doctors, and ambulance near identified shrines/mosques.
The DC further stressed for close coordination and synergy among line departments for ensuring adequate arrangements and successful celebration of the festival.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; CPO, ACR, EO Municipal Council Ganderbal besides other district officers.
