Srinagar, May 29: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Monday hailed the resolve of the party’s ground workers for standing up for the PDP’s vision despite hard times.
People’s Democratic Party’s political leaders, office bearers and ground workers from north Kashmir’s Kupwara district joined the ongoing intra-party reach out from the party president Mehbooba Mufti and its senior leadership, the party said on Monday.
According to a statement, PDP’s district committee members from Kupwara met the president and other senior leaders at the party’s Srinagar headquarters.
Mufti while interacting with the committee members said, “I appreciate the resolve of PDP’s ground workers and their far-sightedness. When some leaders were exiting the party, it is the ground workers who stood up for the party’s vision.”
She thanked every PDP worker for showing faith in the senior leadership of the party. “I am thankful to workers from all districts, who while facing many hardships didn’t give up on the party and its leadership,” she said.
PDP Vice President Abdul Rehman Veeri and General Secretary Organisation Dr Mehboob Beg discussed various organizational and political issues with the district committee, the statement said.
