Srinagar, Oct 27: BJP National General Secretary, and incharge J&K, TarunChugh Thursday sought a national apology from PDP presidentand former J&K chief minister Mahbooba Mufti on her remarks that “the bond between J&K and Bharat is untenable.”
Chugh said she is sowing divisive and anti-national seeds being hand-in-glove with the Pakistan ISI.
He said, “Mehbooba is frustrated with NarendraModi’s public outreach and youth engagement in J&K”.
The BJP leader said Mehbooba should have known thousands of people before uttering against the national integrity as she and her late father have taken oath of the constitution of the country before assuming offices of Home Minister and Chief Minister, respectively.
“Mehbooba Mufti is availing Z plus security. She is being guarded by Police, CRPF/BSF and other security agencies. She is availing every benefit from New Delhi. But unfortunately she is simultaneously uttering against the country and its sovereignty, which is intolerable and unacceptable”, the BJP leader told media.
The BJP leader said that Mehbooba like politicians are playing politics with innocent masses of J&K and it is why she is trying to incite and provoke youth of Kashmir against the country but the youth are very much aware about PM Modi’s youth-friendly policies that, however, have frustrated her deeply.
He said the youth of J&K have started their new journey under PM Modi’s leadership. They have left stone pelting, hartalsetc and have been much benefitted by PM Modi’s Sab KaSaath, Sab KaVikaas initiative which has irked the regional political parties deeply.
Notably the former chief minister of J&K, Mehbooba Mufti on October 26 had said that “If Government of India does not restore the conditions of Instrument of Accession then their control on Jammu and Kashmir stands illegal”. She had made these remarks at party headquarters where she addressed party leaders and workers.
The BJP National General Secretary, TarunChugh added the BJP believes all citizens of the country as a single clan. “Whether you belong to Kashmir or UP, Madya Pradesh or Mizoram, every citizen is same and is entitled to avail every right within the constitution,” he said.
He also said Mehbooba like political leaders must keep this word in their minds that BJP will retrieve PoK soon from the clutches of Pakistan, which leaves no stone unturned to harm peace of Jammu and Kashmir.
