Leh, Sept 10: The Medical Department of Ladakh successfully observed 2nd round National Deworming Day (NDD) on Tuesday, following the fixed day approach in all schools and Anganwadi Centers (AWCs) across the region. This initiative was conducted in line with the standard operational guidelines from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As part of the campaign, Health workers visited schools and Anganwadi Centers throughout Ladakh and administered deworming medication to children. This initiative, led by the Health Department, aims to protect children from parasitic worm infections, which can affect their growth and development.
The National Deworming Day program plays a crucial role in improving children’s health by preventing worm-related illnesses and ensuring better nutritional outcomes. The Medical Department is committed to the well-being of every child in Ladakh, and this program is a key part of that mission.
